DIN 7861:2024 sets out the technical and welfare requirements for horse flooring, with testing covering slip resistance, shock absorption, comfort under the hoof, and durability.

DIN 3762:2022 ensures flooring is safe and non-toxic, testing for PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) to guarantee the material won’t release harmful substances into the stable environment. These chemicals are often found in poor-quality rubber mats.
